Birthday Flower Delivery London

Birthday Flowers Delivered in London

Order by 10pm and the bouquet arrives the same day, anywhere in London, seven days a week. Every arrangement is hand-tied by our florists in our own studio and photographed before it leaves, so you see exactly what is being delivered. In central London a bouquet can reach the recipient within three hours.

Getting a birthday right when you cannot be there

Most birthday orders we take are from someone who would rather be in the room. That changes what matters. The flowers have to arrive on the right day, not near it. They have to look like somebody chose them rather than clicked the first thumbnail. And the card has to say the thing the sender would have said out loud.

So: we write cards by hand, not print them. We photograph the finished bouquet and send it to you before it goes out, which means a surprise never turns into a guess. And if the timing matters — before they leave for dinner, after the school run, first thing in the morning — put it in the order comment and we will work to it.

What to send for a birthday

Bright rather than formal is the safe instinct, and it is usually right. Tulips in the early part of the year and sunflowers in the summer both read as cheerful without trying. Peonies are the most requested single flower we make and worth planning a birthday around when they are in season. Hydrangeas fill a room on their own.

Roses work for a birthday too, but the count carries meaning and it is worth being deliberate: a generous mixed-colour bouquet reads very differently from a dozen red. For a milestone — thirtieth, fiftieth, a first birthday — the honest advice is to spend on stem count rather than on an unusual flower. Volume is what people remember.

The whole birthday selection sits in birthday flowers, and the full studio range in the flower collection.

When the recipient will not be home

A wrapped bouquet needs someone to deal with it. If that is unlikely — an office desk, a hotel room, a hospital ward, a flat where nobody is in until evening — send something that arrives ready to stand: flower boxes hold the stems in a hydrated base, and flowers in a vase need nothing at all on arrival. Both travel better than a bouquet that will sit on a reception desk for four hours.

Adding to the bouquet

Flowers can go out with balloons, with chocolates and dipped strawberries, or with something from the gift sets — added at checkout and delivered together as one arrival rather than two. A hand-written card is included with every order; write what you want on it and we will copy it out as written.

Ordering a birthday delivery

Order online, or message us on WhatsApp at +44 7387 939120 and describe the person and the occasion — a florist will put together options from what came into the studio that morning. If you would rather talk it through, call +44 7458 683130; we are open daily 8:00 to 22:00.

You can order well ahead and choose the delivery date at checkout, and for a birthday that is usually the better move: the choice of flowers is wider, and nothing depends on what is left at nine in the evening. Delivery cost and the free-delivery threshold are shown at checkout.

Where we deliver

Every London postcode — homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, restaurants and event venues. The districts we serve most have their own pages with the local detail: Chelsea SW3, Kensington W8, Mayfair W1, Notting Hill W11, Canary Wharf E14, Battersea SW11, Hackney E8, Greenwich SE10. The full picture is on our London flower delivery page.

For an office, give us the company name, the floor and a reception contact — a birthday bouquet arriving at a desk in front of colleagues is half the point, and reception losing it defeats the whole thing. For a private address, a mobile number for the recipient is the single thing that most reduces the chance of a failed delivery.

Milestone birthdays

An eighteenth, a thirtieth, a fiftieth, a ninetieth — these get treated differently, and they should be. The useful rule is that a milestone bouquet should be visibly larger than an ordinary one, because that is the part everyone reads instantly, before they look at what is in it. Scale first, rarity second.

They are also the birthdays most likely to happen at a party rather than at home, which changes the practical questions: where is it going, who will be there to take it, and does it need to sit somewhere all evening. For a venue, send something in a box or a vase rather than a wrapped bouquet — nobody at a party wants to go looking for a jug. Tell us the venue name and the time the party starts and we will deliver ahead of it, not into the middle of it.

For a first birthday the flowers are usually really for the parents, and low-scent arrangements are the kinder choice in a house with a small child.

When you have left it late

Forgetting until the evening is common enough that we plan for it. Orders are accepted until 10pm every day, and a same-day bouquet placed at nine still goes out to a London address. What you lose by ordering late is choice, not the delivery: the studio works through what came in that morning, so at nine in the evening the range is whatever is left rather than everything on the site.

If the birthday is already today and the hour matters — before a dinner reservation, before they get home, before the office closes — say so in the order comment or message us, and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible rather than take the order and hope. For a set hour, a midnight arrival or an airport pickup, that is a different service: see express and urgent flower delivery.

How late can I order birthday flowers for delivery today?

Until 10pm, seven days a week. In central London the bouquet can be with the recipient within three hours of the order; elsewhere in London it arrives later the same day. Ordering earlier in the day gives a calmer delivery run and a wider choice of flowers.

Will I see the bouquet before it is delivered?

Yes. A florist photographs the finished arrangement and sends it to you before it leaves the studio, so you can confirm it or ask for a small change first.

Will the bouquet look like the photograph on the site?

Closely — in design, colour palette and size. Flowers are natural and seasonal, so a stem may be replaced with a similar bloom of the same grade. Where a substitution would change the character of the arrangement, a florist contacts you before making it rather than deciding for you.

Can you deliver birthday flowers to an office or a hotel?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Give us the company or hotel name, the floor or suite, and a reception contact; for a hotel guest, the guest name and room number if you have it. Reception will normally sign for the bouquet.

Can I send birthday flowers anonymously?

Yes. Leave the card unsigned or write whatever you like on it. We do not add the sender's name unless you ask, and our couriers do not volunteer it.

How long will the flowers last?

Our freshness guarantee is a minimum of three days from delivery when the supplied care instructions are followed — trim the stems, use fresh water, keep the bouquet out of direct heat and sunlight, and change the water every couple of days. If they wilt sooner, send us a photograph within those three days and we will replace the bouquet. This is in addition to your statutory rights. Our flower care guide has the full method.
