Woolwich

Same-Day Flower Delivery in Woolwich and Plumstead SE18

Woolwich is the furthest point east on our south-bank route that still gets a same-day bouquet from the studio: the Royal Arsenal Riverside blocks along the Thames, the market on Beresford Square, the terraces behind Powis Street and, further up the hill, Plumstead Common and the quiet roads towards Shooters Hill. Floritta brings hand-tied flowers to every corner of SE18 — Woolwich New Road and Wellington Street, Woolwich Dockyard, the roads around General Gordon Square, Plumstead High Street and the streets off Griffin Road. Order online before 22:00 and your bouquet is made that day and driven out before the evening is over.

A delivery florist for Woolwich, not a shop on Powis Street

Woolwich has had a market since before the Arsenal was built, and a bunch from a stall on Beresford Square is still the local way of buying flowers for yourself. Sending them is another matter. A stall cannot take a hand-written card to a flat on the ninth floor of a Royal Arsenal block at eight in the evening, and it cannot send a bouquet to a sister in Plumstead from a desk in Reading. We can. Pick the arrangement here, type the message, and our florist makes it up to order, photographs it and hands it to the driver for SE18. If what you typed into Google was “florist near me Woolwich” or “flowers Plumstead today”, you have found the right page.

Same-day delivery to SE18, seven days a week

Any order placed before ten in the evening goes out that same day, Monday to Sunday, bank holidays included, from the full collection and at the same price as a weekday. Same-day bouquets arrive in Woolwich and Plumstead at some point between 9am and 11pm; if the flowers are for another date, the checkout lets you pick a window. The delivery charge, and the order size above which it is waived, is printed on the checkout page before payment, so there are no surprises. For a bouquet that has to be there by a set hour — a retirement lunch at the Dial Arch, say, or a birthday breakfast — order first thing and put the time in the comment box.

What gets sent to Woolwich and Plumstead

Much of what we carry into SE18 is family flowers: a bouquet for a mother in Plumstead, roses for a wedding anniversary, a bright armful of birthday flowers for a teenager who insists they do not want any. Buyers in the newer riverside blocks tend to go for plants and flowers in a vase, which arrive arranged and ready for a balcony table. Flower boxes are the safe choice when the recipient is at work in one of the Arsenal offices and will carry the gift home on the DLR. And for the many new arrivals on the maternity side of the QEH, our new baby flowers go to the family home rather than the ward.

Where in SE18 we deliver

The postcode runs from the river to the ridge. On the water side: Royal Arsenal Riverside, Woolwich Dockyard, the Thames Barrier end of Woolwich Church Street and the approach to the Woolwich Ferry. In the town centre: Powis Street, Hare Street, Beresford Square, General Gordon Square, Woolwich New Road and the area round Woolwich Arsenal and the Elizabeth line station. Up the hill: Woolwich Common, the Royal Artillery Barracks side of the common, Plumstead Common, Plumstead High Street, Shrewsbury Park and the lower slopes of Shooters Hill. We also serve the roads just beyond the SE18 boundary — Charlton to the west, Thamesmead and Abbey Wood to the east, Eltham to the south. Upriver, Greenwich has its own page for SE10 and SE3; across the water, Royal Docks covers E16, a single stop on the Elizabeth line from Woolwich; the rest of the city is on our London flower delivery page.

Is there a Floritta shop in Woolwich?

No. We are a studio florist based in SE1, and nothing of ours stands on Powis Street or in the Arsenal. Every bouquet is made once the order is in and goes out by car, which is why the full range stays available until 22:00 and a Sunday delivery is the same quality as a Thursday one. The flowers you see on the site are what will be made, not what has been standing in a bucket.

Can you deliver to the Royal Arsenal Riverside buildings?

Yes, and they are among the easiest addresses in SE18 because most blocks have a staffed desk. Give us the building name, the flat number and the recipient’s full name; the driver leaves the bouquet with the concierge, who records it and lets the resident know. Where a block has no desk, we buzz, wait, and if there is no answer phone the number on the order before doing anything else. We never leave flowers in a hallway unless you have told us that is acceptable.

Do you deliver flowers to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich?

We do deliver to the main entrance on Stadium Road, but please check with the ward first: a good many wards at the QEH do not take flowers at the bedside, and intensive care never does. When a ward says no, families usually have the bouquet sent to the patient’s home for the day they are discharged, or to whoever is doing the visiting. If the ward says yes, put the patient’s full name and the ward on the order so that reception can accept the delivery.

Can you deliver to Plumstead and up towards Shooters Hill?

Yes. Plumstead shares the SE18 postcode with Woolwich and our driver covers it on the same run — Plumstead High Street, the roads around Plumstead Common, Shrewsbury Park and the houses on the Woolwich side of Shooters Hill. Delivery takes a little longer there than down by the river, so for a same-day order to the top of the hill it is worth ordering before the afternoon rather than close to the deadline.

How late can I order for same-day delivery in SE18?

Up to 22:00 on any day of the year except one: on 24 December the same-day cut-off is 17:00. Orders after the cut-off go out the following day. If you are comparing deadlines across London before you order, our guide to London flower delivery cut-off times lays them out area by area.

Can I choose a delivery window for Woolwich?

For tomorrow or any later date, yes: the checkout offers 9am–1pm, 1pm–6pm and 6pm–11pm, or “any time” if the hour does not matter. Same-day orders are not given a slot; they are delivered between 9am and 11pm in the order the driver’s route makes sense, which for Woolwich usually means later in the run than Bermondsey or Greenwich. Around Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day allow for delays. If the bouquet has to be in someone’s hands by a particular time, say so in the comment or WhatsApp us before paying and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Sympathy and funeral flowers for Woolwich and Plumstead

When a family in SE18 has lost someone, we bring condolence flowers to the house, and for the service itself we can deliver a tribute ahead of time to the church or chapel — St Mary Magdalene by the river, St Peter’s on Woolwich New Road, or the crematorium at Eltham, a short drive south. Put the venue and the time of the service in the order comment and the driver will plan to arrive well before. Our funeral flowers range from simple white sheaves to tributes in the colours the family asks for, and the card is always written by hand.
