Same-Day Flower Delivery in Thornton Heath CR7

Thornton Heath grew up around its railway station and its clock tower, and the High Street between them is still where most of CR7 does its shopping. Southern trains run from here straight into Victoria and London Bridge, and Croydon University Hospital stands on London Road at the edge of the district. We don’t keep a shop in Thornton Heath. Each bouquet is put together after you order, at the Floritta studio in Bermondsey, SE1, and sent south on the same day — pay by 22:00 and it will be in Thornton Heath, Bensham Manor or the CR7 side of Norbury by that evening.

Terraces, converted flats and flats above the parades

Most of CR7 is long rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces off Brigstock Road, Parchmore Road, Melfort Road and Bensham Lane, and many of those houses are now split into a ground-floor and a first-floor flat with two front doors side by side. Write “Flat A” or “upper flat” in the address and the driver will not have to guess. Above the shops on the High Street and London Road the flats are usually entered from a door in the side road or round the back, so mention it in the delivery note. Newer blocks near the station have a call panel; a flat number and a working phone number get the flowers through it. Sending to a workplace, a school or a GP surgery on a weekday? The bouquet is handed to the reception desk.

How a same-day order reaches CR7

Thornton Heath sits on our south London round with Croydon, Mitcham and Streatham, and the van drives it seven days a week. Once an order is paid before ten in the evening, the florist makes it, we send you a photo, and it goes out that day — Sundays too, and the speed costs nothing extra. Orders for today come without a time slot: the driver can arrive at any time between 9am and 11pm. Ordering ahead for another date lets you pick a delivery window in the basket, and the basket also shows the delivery fee and the order value from which delivery is free before you pay. On a Crystal Palace home match day the roads around Selhurst Park are slow, so if the address is close to the ground, an earlier window is the safer choice.

What people send to Thornton Heath

Birthdays come first in CR7, and the birthday flowers are the quickest place to look. Bright, full bouquets are the usual pick for mums and grandmothers, and roses for anniversaries and Valentine’s Day. A flower box needs no vase and no trimming, which helps when the person is busy or elderly. For a new home or a new baby, a house plant keeps going long after cut flowers would have finished. Your card message is written by hand by the florist who makes the order.

Where in CR7 we deliver

The whole of CR7: the High Street and the clock tower, Brigstock Road and the streets round the station, London Road from Thornton Heath Pond towards Norbury, Bensham Lane and Bensham Manor, Grange Road and the roads by Grangewood Park, Thornton Heath Recreation Ground and Pollards Hill. Next door we deliver to Croydon (the Croydon page), Mitcham (our Mitcham page), Norbury and Streatham (the Streatham page), South Norwood, Selhurst and Crystal Palace. Enter the postcode in the basket and it will confirm whether the address is in our area. The full list of districts is on flower delivery across London.

Is there a Floritta flower shop in Thornton Heath?

No, we have no shop in CR7. Every order is made in our one studio in Bermondsey, and the florist starts on it only once it has been placed. You receive a photo of the finished bouquet before it leaves, and it then travels to Thornton Heath in a box.

Can flowers be delivered to Croydon University Hospital?

The hospital is on London Road in Thornton Heath, so it is the one most people in CR7 send to. Some wards do not accept flowers, as in most hospitals, so check with the ward first. Where they are allowed, give the patient’s full name, the ward and a phone number, and the driver will leave the bouquet at the main reception. Many families choose instead to have it waiting at home for the day the patient is discharged.

What if nobody is home in Thornton Heath when the driver arrives?

The driver rings the phone number on the order first. With no answer, the flowers go to a neighbour or to the safe place you named in the note, for example a porch or a side passage. If there is no note, we bring the bouquet back and phone you to arrange another delivery instead of leaving it on the doorstep.

How late can I order flowers for Thornton Heath today?

Until 22:00, ten in the evening, on every day of the week. The one exception is Christmas Eve, when same-day ordering stops at 5pm on 24 December. An order paid after the cut-off is delivered the next day. Cut-off times for the rest of London are in our guide to London cut-off times.

Can I choose a delivery time for CR7?

For any day after today, yes: 9am–1pm, 1pm–6pm, 6pm–11pm or all day. An order for today arrives at any time between 9am and 11pm. Around Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and other busy dates the round may finish later than usual. If the time really matters, message us on WhatsApp before you order and we will say plainly whether it is possible.

Funeral and sympathy flowers in Thornton Heath

We bring sympathy bouquets to homes across Thornton Heath, Bensham Manor and Norbury, and deliver wreaths, sprays and name tributes to the funeral director or directly to the service. Services for CR7 families are often held at Croydon Crematorium on Mitcham Road or at Queen’s Road Cemetery. Tell us the venue and when the service starts, and the tribute will be there before it begins. Our funeral flowers include classic white wreaths as well as tributes in the colours someone loved, each with a card written by hand.
