That puts it in March most years and in late March some years — 7 March in 2027, 26 March in 2028. The safe answer is a spring bouquet: tulips, daffodils, spray roses, hydrangeas, soft pastels rather than red. The better answer depends on what happens after the delivery. If she will be at home and enjoys arranging, a hand-tied bouquet is right. If she is out, travelling or in a hospital or a care home, a flower box or a plant needs no vase and no attention. Order Before the Saturday Rush

Mothering Sunday is a single-day peak, and the deliveries are concentrated into a few morning hours. We accept orders until 10 pm every day and deliver across London seven days a week, but the early Sunday slots are the ones that fill first. Ordering in the week before, with the date chosen at checkout, is the difference between the flowers arriving at breakfast and arriving at teatime. If your mother is outside London, order earlier still: UK delivery takes 2–3 working days.

Mothering Sunday and Women's Day Are Not the Same Day

They fall close together and in 2027 they land in the same weekend — Mothering Sunday on 7 March, International Women's Day on Monday 8 March. Mothering Sunday is a British family occasion for mothers and grandmothers. Women's Day is broader: colleagues, friends, teachers, teams, and it is a much bigger day in London than the calendar suggests.
