Flowers for Diwali, Delivered Across London
Diwali is a festival of light, and light is what these arrangements are built around: marigold orange, deep red, and gold. We put the collection together for the people who celebrate — families laying out a table for Lakshmi Puja, guests arriving with something in their hands, offices that want the reception to look like the week matters.
Everything is made to order in our Fulham studio and delivered across London on the same day. If you are sending to relatives outside the city, we deliver across the UK too — see delivery times and cut-offs before you choose the date.
Why Marigolds
The marigold — genda — is the flower of the festival. It is strung into torans that hang across a doorway, scattered into rangoli patterns on the floor, and laid around diyas on the table. Nothing else carries the holiday the same way, which is why every arrangement in this collection is built on orange and gold rather than the pastel palette we send the rest of the year.
Where fresh marigolds are limited late in the season, we build the same warmth from orange roses, gerbera and sunflowers. If you would like a garland specifically, tell us when you order — it is made by hand and needs a day's notice.
What We Send for Diwali
The collection covers the things people actually buy in this week, not a single bouquet in festive wrapping:
- A door garland — a marigold toran, made to length, for the entrance.
- A festival bouquet — marigolds, orange roses and gerbera, in three sizes.
- A bowl arrangement with diyas — low, gold-toned, made to sit on the puja table rather than tower over it.
- A small gift set — a compact arrangement with diyas in a box, for taking to someone's home.
- A table centrepiece — round and low enough to talk across, for the evening you are hosting.
- An office set — a reception arrangement with a garland for the door.

Dhanteras, Diwali and the Days Around It
Diwali is five days, not one, and each of them is a different kind of order. Dhanteras opens the festival and is traditionally the day to buy — it is also, by our own order history, the busiest day of the week for us. Choti Diwali follows. The main night, Lakshmi Puja, is when flowers are already in place and the diyas are lit. Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj close the week, and Bhai Dooj in particular brings gifts between brothers and sisters.
Practically, that means the flowers you want on the table for the main evening should be ordered a day or two ahead rather than on the morning itself. Deliveries run every day of the week, including the weekend.
Dates change each year — Diwali falls on the new moon of Kartik, between mid-October and mid-November. This year the festival week runs from Dhanteras on 6 November to Bhai Dooj on 10 November, with Lakshmi Puja on Sunday 8 November, and we deliver across London on every one of those days.
Diwali at the Office
Diwali is a working-week festival in London, and offices mark it: a garland on the door, an arrangement at reception, something on the desks of the team who celebrate. We deliver to several addresses from one order, and we can hold the same look across all of them so a firm with three floors does not get three different bouquets.
Client gifting works the same way — send us the list of addresses and the date, and we schedule the run. Corporate orders are worth placing a week ahead, because the festival week is also the week our studio is busiest. Details for companies are on our business page.
Ordering and Delivery in Festival Week
London orders are delivered the same day when placed before our daily cut-off; the rest of the UK takes two to three working days, so send those earlier in the week. Every arrangement leaves the studio in floral foam with water, not flat-packed in a letterbox carton, so it arrives ready to put on the table.
If you are not sure which day you need — the buying day, the hosting day, or the day you are visiting — pick the date on checkout and we will build to it. Delivery across the city, including every London postcode we cover, runs through the whole festival week.
When is Diwali this year?
The festival week runs from Dhanteras on 6 November to Bhai Dooj on 10 November, with the main night, Lakshmi Puja, on Sunday 8 November. Diwali moves each year because it follows the lunar calendar — it falls on the new moon of the month of Kartik, somewhere between mid-October and mid-November.
Which flowers are right for Diwali?
Marigolds first, then orange and red roses, gerbera and sunflowers — the festival is built on warm colour and light. White flowers and lilies are best avoided: in Indian tradition they belong to mourning rather than celebration, and sending them by accident is the one mistake worth knowing about.
Do you make marigold garlands?
Yes. Torans are made by hand to the length you need, so they take a day's notice rather than the same-day turnaround of a bouquet. Order the garland early in the week and we will have it ready for the door before the main evening.
Can you deliver on the day of Diwali itself?
Yes — we deliver every day of the festival week, weekend included. For the main evening it is still worth ordering a day ahead: flowers meant for the puja table should be in place before the diyas are lit, not arriving while guests do.
Can you deliver Diwali flowers outside London?
Yes. Outside the city delivery takes two to three working days, so an order for relatives elsewhere in the UK should go in early in the festival week rather than the day before. Everything travels assembled, in water.
Can I order Diwali flowers for my office or for clients?
Yes. We deliver to several addresses from a single order and keep the arrangements consistent across them. Companies are best placing the order about a week ahead — see our page for business customers for how corporate accounts work.
How far in advance should I order?
For a bouquet in London, the same day is enough if you order before the daily cut-off. For a garland, a table centrepiece for a party, or anything going to more than one address, allow two to three days. For delivery outside London, allow the full two to three working days.
