Easter flowers, delivered across London
Easter is the first weekend of the year when the table is worth setting properly. Whether you are hosting on Easter Sunday, arriving somewhere with something in your hands, or sending flowers to family you will not see this year, we deliver across London on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday, and we take orders for Easter Sunday itself. Everything is hand-tied in our Fulham studio on the morning it goes out.
Easter has no fixed date — it moves with the lunar calendar and can fall anywhere between late March and late April. That is worth knowing when you plan: in a late Easter you get peonies and full spring stock, in an early one the season is still tulips and hyacinths. Either way the palette is the same one people picture — soft, pale, and green.
What to send: tulips first, then everything else
If you send one thing for Easter, send tulips. They are the flower the season belongs to in Britain, they last well in a warm room, and they keep moving in the vase for days after they arrive, which children find far more interesting than a bouquet that stands still. Beyond tulips, the Easter palette is hyacinths for scent, ranunculus and lisianthus for shape, and lilac and matthiola when the weather has been kind. Our mixed spring bouquets are built around whatever came in that morning rather than a fixed recipe, which is why they change week to week through March and April.
For a table that has to look right for a long lunch, a low arrangement beats a tall bouquet — people can see each other over it. Say so in the order notes and we will build it that way.
Easter baskets and gifts
An arranged basket is the format that suits Easter best: it arrives finished, it does not need a vase, and it survives being carried to someone else's house. Our Easter baskets combine flowers with chocolate and are made to be handed over rather than posted. If the gift is for children, a chocolate box or a pastel balloon set travels better than a bouquet and does not need looking after.
Easter plants
A plant is the honest choice when you want the gift to outlast the weekend. Orchids and potted greenery keep going long after cut flowers are finished, and they suit people who are away, in a small flat, or simply do not want the job of changing water. It is also the right answer for an office: something living on a desk on the Tuesday after the long weekend does more than flowers that arrived on the Thursday before it.
Delivery over the Easter weekend
We deliver across London through the whole Easter weekend, including Good Friday and Easter Monday, and to the rest of the UK on working days. Orders placed by 10 pm go out the next day. Because Good Friday and Easter Monday are bank holidays, nationwide courier services do not run — if the flowers have to leave London, order so they arrive on the Thursday before, not on the Saturday. If you already know the date, order early and pick the slot: Easter Saturday is one of the busiest delivery days of the spring, and morning slots go first.
Easter, Mothering Sunday and 8 March fall close together
In Britain Mothering Sunday is set by Easter — it is always the fourth Sunday of Lent, exactly three weeks earlier. That puts three occasions inside one month most years, and in some years Mothering Sunday and International Women's Day land on the same weekend. When is Easter this year?
Easter Sunday falls on 28 March 2027, with Good Friday on 26 March and Easter Monday on 29 March. Easter moves every year, so the dates change — Mothering Sunday is always three weeks before Easter Sunday, which puts it on 7 March 2027.
Do you deliver flowers on Easter Sunday?
Yes. We deliver across London on Easter Sunday and on both bank holidays around it. Deliveries outside London go on working days only, so a nationwide order should be placed to arrive before Good Friday.
What flowers are traditional for Easter?
Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and lilies are the classic Easter flowers in Britain, usually in white, pale yellow, soft pink and lilac. Lilies carry a religious association with Easter; if the bouquet is going to a household with cats, ask us for a lily-free version and we will substitute.
Can I send an Easter gift with chocolate?
Yes. Our Easter baskets pair flowers with chocolate, and chocolate boxes can be added to any bouquet at checkout. Anything with chocolate travels by our own courier inside London rather than by post, so it arrives in the condition it left the studio.
How far in advance should I order Easter flowers?
For London, two or three days is enough to get the slot you want; the same-day cut-off is 10 pm the evening before. For the rest of the UK, allow two to three working days and remember that bank holidays do not count — the practical deadline is the Wednesday before Good Friday.
What lasts longer, a bouquet or a plant?
A plant, by a wide margin. Cut spring flowers give you about a week in a cool room; an orchid or a potted plant keeps going for months. If nobody will be at home to change the water over the long weekend, send a plant.
Can you deliver Easter flowers to an office?
