Anthurium

Every anthurium variety we work with in our London studio – how to tell them apart, when they are in season and how to make them last.

Season: available all year J F M A M J J A S O N D
Vase life: 14–21 days
Storage: Do not store below 13°C; chilling injury causes black spotting on the spathe – keep at room temperature or in a cool room, not a standard flower cooler.
Cats and dogs: Toxic – keep out of reach of cats and dogs

Caring for anthurium

Recut stems under water and remove any foliage that sits below the waterline. Keep water clean and change it every few days, no floral food is strictly necessary. Avoid cold draughts and store above 13°C as chilling can mark the spathe. Handle gently – the spathe can bruise or crease if pressed.
