Small star-shaped papery bracts surrounding a tiny central umbel of florets
Bracts often with a pale edge and deeper centre, pincushion-like look
Thin wiry branching stems carrying several flower heads
Palmate, lobed mid-green foliage lower on the stem
Slightly spicy, herbaceous scent

Care

Strip lower foliage that would sit in water and recut stems at an angle. Use clean water with flower food and keep away from ripening fruit as it is sensitive to ethylene. Recut every few days and change the water to extend life.
