How to recognise it

Multiple blooms per stem (spray rose), typically 3–5 branching heads
Smaller bloom head than standard roses, around 4–6cm
Buds in various stages of opening along branched stem
Compound leaves with 5 leaflets, serrated edges, glossy surface
Thorny stem typical of commercial rose

Care

Strip lower leaves and any foliage that would sit below the waterline. Recut stems at an angle under water before placing in a clean vase with fresh flower food. Keep away from ethylene sources such as ripening fruit and draughts. Change water and recut stems every two to three days.
