Thick succulent grey-green leaves along upright stems
Flat-topped broccoli-like flower clusters forming in autumn
Clusters turn from green-pink buds to pink then deep rust-red
Sturdy fleshy stems, resistant to wilting
No noticeable scent

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline. Recut stems and give clean water; sedum is not sensitive to ethylene and tolerates being out of water for longer than most flowers. Keep away from direct heat. Change water every few days to prevent cloudiness.
