Skimmia features glossy evergreen leaves with clusters of small buds or berries, adding structure and colour. Florists use it to bring year-round greenery and texture to bouquets and arrangements.
Recut stems at an angle and remove any foliage that sits below the waterline. Use clean water with flower food and keep away from ripening fruit as it is sensitive to ethylene. Skimmia is woody and long-lasting, so top up water regularly and recut every few days.
