Wax flower has fine, needle-like foliage and tiny star-shaped blooms along slender branching stems. Florists use it as a filler to add delicate texture and movement to bouquets.
Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle before placing in clean water. Waxflower is sensitive to ethylene, so keep away from ripening fruit and old flowers. Use a flower food solution to prolong life and keep stems well hydrated, as it can dry out and drop flowers if left out of water.
