How to recognise it

Branching wiry stems with tiny papery star-shaped flowers
Dense airy sprays, small calyx clusters along the stem
Leaves mostly basal, rosette-like, stem leaves sparse
Papery dry texture even when fresh
Small flattened flower heads in clusters at branch tips

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline. Recut stems and place in clean water with flower food; limonium is not sensitive to ethylene. Keep away from direct sun and heat to reduce water loss. It dries naturally on the stem, so can be used fresh or allowed to air-dry.
