Tightly layered, papery petals forming a rounded bloom
Bud resembles a small tissue-paper ball before opening
Hollow, slightly fuzzy, bright green stems
Deeply divided, celery-like foliage near the base
No noticeable scent

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle under water. Use clean water with flower food and keep away from fruit and other ethylene sources. Change water every two days and recut stems to keep them drinking, as ranunculus stems can clog quickly. Keep away from direct heat and draughts.
