How to recognise it

Multiple blooms per stem (spray rose) rather than one large bloom
Smaller bud size compared to standard roses
Glossy, serrated green leaflets in sets
Thorny stem, firm and straight
Buds in uniform clusters at branching points

Care

Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline and remove thorns that may puncture other stems. Recut stems at an angle under water before placing in a clean bucket with flower food. Keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources. Maintain cool, clean water and change it every two days.
