How to recognise it

Large-flowered (hybrid tea type) rose with one bloom per stem
Classic high-centred bud with layered petals
Firm straight stem with thorns
Dark green glossy compound leaves (usually 5 leaflets)

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle under water. Use clean buckets with fresh flower food and keep away from ripening fruit as roses are sensitive to ethylene. Keep water clean and change it every couple of days, recutting stems each time.
