How to recognise it

Spray rose with several blooms per stem, not one large bloom
Buds smaller than standard rose, open from a rounded or pointed bud shape
Multiple side shoots branching from a main stem
Leaves glossy green, usually in sets of three or five leaflets
Thorny stem typical of garden roses

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and remove damaged outer petals. Recut stems at an angle under water or immediately before placing in clean water. Use flower food and keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources. Keep water clean and change it every few days.
