How to recognise it

Multiple blooms per stem (spray rose, not single-headed)
Several buds and side shoots branching from one main stem
Smaller blooms than standard roses
Glossy, serrated leaflets in groups of three to five
Thorny stem typical of garden roses

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and remove thorns that may damage other stems. Recut stems at an angle under water or immediately before placing in fresh water with flower food. Keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources, and away from direct heat or draughts.
