How to recognise it

Spray rose with several blooms per stem
Multiple buds opening at different stages on one stem
Compound leaves with 3–5 serrated leaflets
Thorny green stem
Smaller blooms than standard roses

Care

Strip lower leaves and thorns below the waterline. Re-cut stems at an angle under water before placing in clean water with flower food. Keep away from ethylene sources and direct heat. Change water and re-cut every 2–3 days.
