How to recognise it

Large-flowered (hybrid tea) standard rose with one bloom per stem
High-centred bud with layered outer petals
Sturdy straight stem with thorns
Compound leaves, usually 5 leaflets, glossy surface

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle under water. Use clean buckets with fresh flower food solution and keep away from ripening fruit as roses are sensitive to ethylene. Keep water clean and recut every few days.
