How to recognise it

Large-flowered (hybrid tea) rose with a single bloom per stem
Pointed, high-centred bud typical of large-flowered roses
Firm, glossy mid-green foliage along the stem
Thorny stem, straight and sturdy
Sepals fully covering the bud before opening

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle under water. Use clean buckets and fresh flower food, as roses are sensitive to bacteria. Keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources. Recut every few days and change the water regularly.
