Can You Get Flowers Delivered on Christmas Day in London?

Short answer: yes, in London. We deliver flowers on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day, 25 and 26 December, to London addresses. On Christmas Eve orders close earlier than usual, at 5 pm. Outside London the last order date for Christmas is 18 December, because the courier network stops over the holiday.

Most London florists close from Christmas Eve until the New Year, so if you have been looking for someone who will bring flowers to a door on the 25th itself, this page is the practical version: what we do on each of the holiday days, what to book ahead, and where the limits are.

Do you deliver flowers on Christmas Day in London?

Yes. The studio works on 25 December and our own couriers deliver across London that day. Choose 25 December as the delivery date at checkout, write the message for the card, and the bouquet is arranged in our studio on the morning it goes out, not the day before.

The holiday team is smaller than on a normal day, because it is Christmas for florists and couriers too. We plan the day from the orders that are already in, so if the flowers have to arrive on the 25th, book them in advance rather than on the morning itself. The earlier the order, the more of the Christmas collection is still there to choose from.

Do you deliver on Boxing Day?

Yes, 26 December is a delivery day in London as well. Boxing Day is a good date for flowers that are not about Christmas at all: a thank-you to the person who hosted, a birthday that happens to fall in the holidays, or a visit to someone who spent Christmas on their own. We carry on through 27 to 31 December, and 1 January is a short day.

What time do Christmas Eve orders close?

On 24 December we take orders for same-day delivery until 5 pm. Every other day of the year the cut-off is 10 pm, and it is the one exception we make: the last Christmas Eve deliveries have to reach the door while people are still at home to open it, and the couriers who bring them are the same people working on Christmas Day.

After 5 pm on the 24th you can still place an order, and choose Christmas Day or Boxing Day as the delivery date.

Can I order on Christmas Day for delivery the same day?

Do not count on it. On 25 and 26 December the smaller team works through the day that was planned from orders already placed, and there is far less room for extra deliveries than on an ordinary day. If you decide on Christmas morning, message us on WhatsApp first and we will tell you honestly what can still go out. If flowers on the 25th matter to you, the right time to order is any day before it.

Is there a surcharge for Christmas Day delivery?

No, not for standard delivery. A delivery on 25 or 26 December costs the same as a delivery on any other day of the year, and the full delivery terms are on our delivery information page. The only thing that costs extra over the holiday is what costs extra all year: a specific delivery time rather than a delivery on the day. A timed delivery is a premium option, so tell us in the order notes if the flowers have to arrive at a particular hour, and we will confirm the price before we take it.

Can you deliver flowers outside London on Christmas Day?

No. Outside London bouquets travel by courier in two to three working days, and national courier networks do not run on 25 and 26 December. For any address outside London, UK-wide delivery needs the order by 18 December to arrive before the holiday. Christmas Day and Boxing Day delivery is London only.

Christmas Eve or Christmas Day: which is better for flowers?

It depends on what the flowers are for. For the table, deliver on the 23rd or the 24th: an arrangement made a day or two earlier is at its best on Christmas Day, and nobody hosting Christmas lunch wants a courier at the door at noon. For a gift to someone you will not see, the 25th is the date: flowers arriving on the day itself are a different message from flowers that came with the post.

A fresh door wreath is the opposite case. It belongs on the door in the first week of December, not on Christmas morning, and in cold weather it will look right for weeks; we explain why in how long a fresh Christmas wreath lasts.

What should I send on Christmas Day?

Something that looks like winter rather than like a birthday. In December our florists work with fir, eucalyptus, pine, berries, amaryllis and roses in deep red or white, and the Christmas collection has the festive bouquets, table arrangements and fresh wreaths in one place. If red and gold is not the recipient's taste, the white flowers page is the quieter choice, and it will still look right in January. For a present that is more than flowers, a hamper built around a bouquet goes out as one delivery.

What is genuinely in season in Britain in December, and what is flown in, is in December flowers in season.

What if nobody is home on Christmas Day?

On the 25th people are often out at family, so give the courier something to work with. Put a phone number for the recipient in the order, and in the order notes say where the flowers can be left safely or which neighbour can take them. A bouquet delivered in water keeps well for a few hours in a cool porch; it does not keep well on a radiator.

What if something is wrong when the flowers arrive?

Send us a photo on the day. Our freshness guarantee is a replacement: if the flowers wilt within three days of delivery, we replace the bouquet, in addition to your statutory rights. Over the holiday, tell us as early as you can, because a replacement on Boxing Day is simple and a replacement after the New Year is not the same gift.
