How to recognise it

Spray form with multiple blooms per stem
Sturdy branching stem with several side shoots
Mid-green lobed leaves along the stem
Rounded buds opening to daisy-like or double flowerheads
Typical mild chrysanthemum scent on stem and leaves

Care

Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline and recut stems at an angle before placing in clean water. Chrysanthemums are not very sensitive to ethylene but benefit from a floral food solution and fresh water changes. Keep away from direct heat and draughts to prolong display life.
