Large single daisy-like flower head on a thick hollow stem
Broad ray petals in a single ring around a dark or green centre disc
Lobed, slightly hairy basal leaves (often stripped from stem)
Thick fuzzy stem that is prone to bending at the neck
Pink petal colour

Care

Recut stems under water and support the neck with a straw or wire if it is weak. Use a shallow amount of water as gerberas prefer not to stand in deep water, and keep the solution clean to prevent stem rot. Avoid wetting the flower head. Keep away from ethylene and direct heat.
