How to recognise it

Large broad lance-shaped dark green leaf
Leathery, glossy surface with prominent parallel veins running lengthwise
Single leaf on a long bare stem, no branching
Can be plain green or variegated with cream stripes depending on variety
Very stiff and tough texture compared to most foliage

Care

Recut stems and remove any damaged leaf edges before use. Keep in clean water, changed every few days, as it is a very long-lasting foliage. Not sensitive to ethylene. Wipe leaves clean if dusty to keep the glossy finish.
