How to recognise it

Round to oval silvery-grey-blue leaves arranged along woody stems
Leaves have a powdery, almost frosted bloom to the touch
Strong aromatic eucalyptus scent when leaves are crushed
Stems are woody, slightly flexible when young
Leaf pairs set opposite along the stem

Care

Strip any foliage that will sit below the waterline and recut stems before placing in water. Woody stems benefit from a sharper, slightly longer cut or a split to help uptake. Keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources, as leaves can shed if stressed. Store in clean water at cool room temperature or in the cooler.
