How to recognise it

Long, thin, grass-like dark green blades
Wiry, flexible stems that can be looped or curled
Rough, slightly sawtoothed edges to the leaves
Sold in bunches with no flowers, used as filler or structure
No noticeable scent

Care

Strip any damaged or yellowing blades before use. Place in clean water and recut stem ends. Keep away from ripening fruit and other ethylene sources. Mist occasionally to keep it from drying out and curling unintentionally.
