How to recognise it

Rose-like double blooms with ruffled, tissue-thin petals clustered along branching stems
Multiple buds and open flowers per stem, candelabra-type branching
Blue-green, smooth oval leaves clasping the stem in pairs
Papery outer bud calyx splitting as flower opens
Fine, slightly brittle stems

Care

Recut stems under water and strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline. Use clean water with flower food; eustoma is not very sensitive to ethylene but benefits from fresh water changes. Keep away from direct heat and draughts, and handle gently as stems and petals bruise easily. Avoid overcrowding buckets to prevent bent stems.
