How to recognise White tulip, when it is in season and how to keep it fresh.
Recut stems at an angle and place in shallow cool water, as tulips drink fast and stems can rot in deep water. Keep away from direct heat and strong light, which speed up stem stretching and opening. Tulips are not very ethylene-sensitive but should be kept away from daffodils unless conditioned separately, as daffodil sap can shorten their vase life. Remove any slimy or yellowing lower leaves and change water every 1–2 days.
5–8 days
Store in the cooler at 2–5°C, standing upright in clean cool water.
Toxic – keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
